Just a few short years ago, getting braces meant having unsightly metal attached to your teeth for not months, but years. This was very hard for both kids and adults alike to suffer through and could affect one’s self esteem greatly. Thankfully, dental technology has come a long way, and Invisalign treatment at Cary Dental Associates is both safe and comfortable. It is an almost invisible and works for people of all ages.

Invisalign Process

The first step is for your dentist to examine your teeth, take x-rays and assess the general overall health of your teeth and gums. If he or she feels you are suited for Invisalign, impressions of your teeth will be made and sent to a laboratory. Based on your individual assessment, a set of Invisalign will be created for you and fitted over your teeth.

They are comfortable to wear, and can be removed when you eat, brush and floss. As you continue to wear them, your teeth will gradually align and shift back into place. For the quickest results, these should be worn 21 – 22 hours a day.

You must visit your dentist every couple of weeks so that the Invisalign trays can be replaced. Every six weeks you will have a checkup to make sure your teeth are shifting at the rate they should be. After a few months, you’ll be ready to take them off for good and show off your new, beautiful smile! Your teeth will be straight and, combined with proper maintenance, will stay white and bright for years to come.

Invisalign treatment at Cary Dental Associates is a process that is done with the utmost professionalism and caring. The staff understands how important it is to have healthy teeth for a lifetime, and they will work with you every step of the way. For more information visit their Facebook page.
