When you go to an NRA convention, there are definitely a lot of heavy hitters out there that you can utilize for personal protection. One of the stars would be the Glock brand, which has put out many different products, including the 9mm, the 17, the 19 “compact” and the 26. However, perhaps the most underrated of these versions would be the Glock 43, and if you are considering one, here are the pros and cons.
An Interesting Size
Someone with large hands may have some issues with this firearm, but those with smaller hands will find this gun to be almost perfect. Moreover, this gun is made in the traditional factory standard known to many Glock fans, and it will not deviate from the traditional Glock trigger design either.
Accuracy
After loading a G43 magazine in, all you have to do is aim it at a target five to ten yards away and fire. Of course, like any other firearm, it will take some degree of concentration in order to hit the target.
Not As Reliable As It Should Be
First of all, it takes about four rounds of the first G43 magazine to properly load the gun. Then it takes another three rounds to load the second magazine. Unfortunately, many firearm enthusiasts might get frustrated at the fact that the gun only needs a tap on the rear to put it into battery mode.
Reasonably Priced
Even with these challenges, the gun is at least reasonably priced. Most models will run about $450.
Although there are a fair amount of advantages to this gun, it’s definitely not a firearm for beginners. Glock users might enjoy it and have a good time taking it to the firing range, but you probably should practice on a different firearm before investing in this one.
