One way or another, most businesses require offices; the number depending on the size of the business and the nature of its operation. For large scale established corporations, these offices may well be located within a purpose built building that they own themselves – their Corporate Headquarters.

Smaller entities probably rent space for their office activities and then divide up the rented space into separate areas to form individual offices and communal work spaces. In fact, this sub-division of the overall total office space is something they share with the major league companies. As soon as an establishment has more than one person working in it, there will be a need to partition off separate working spaces; naturally, the personality of the people working there and the nature of their work will influence the number of Partitions needed and the urgency for installing them.

The basics are simple, you have an existing space and you wish to break it down into a series of smaller spaces by erecting a series of Partitions around different portions of the original space. It gets more complicated when it comes to deciding the number of partitioned units you need, how to allocate space to each partitioned area, where to position them and how far to go towards meeting the vanities of some of your employees? The next steps are probably easier; what materials and designs to use for the actual Partitions and how to erect them?

A large concern may well have its own building maintenance department who could take care of all of this but, for most, the work is more likely to be contracted out. Companies that fabricate partitioning often offer design consultancy as part of their supply package but, for the actual erection, it is more likely that you will still need the services of a contractor.

By using pre-fabricated panels to divide up your space, you gain two main advantages over constructing traditional partition walls in-situ. Firstly, the panels are quick to install by using extruded sections fixed to the floor and ceiling to hold each panel in place; secondly, the longer term advantage, is that such panels are equally quick to remove for changes dictated by changing circumstances in your business operation.
