A koozie, also alternatively spelled “coozie” is a cylindrical insulator for beer cans and beer bottles. It works with other beverages in aluminum cans or glass bottles too. It is made from open cell foam, polyester or neoprene. (Other names include cozy, coosie, coolie, coldy-holdy, can cooler and bottle jacket). Its main use is lagging a beverage from heat via external infrared sources e.g. hands and through conduction. A minor use of it is to easily differentiate between beverages and also for marketing.
It is very convenient for companies to use the koozie as a promotional item. This is because it not only recurrently present the company’s name to a household but it is also cheap to manufacture. Apart from the two advantages above, they are also neither disposable nor bio degradable. If washed after use, koozies are as good as new.
Despite the technicalities involved during their manufacture of koozies are an ingenious invention and a perfect marking tool. It makes any drink comfy to hold and it has the practical function of keeping a company’s name in front of the drinker.
Koozies are not only beneficial to companies but also to the consumers too. For example, they serve to keep drinks cold, offer a good grip on the can to avoid accidentally spilling the drink when it falls. They also help the consumer to keep drinks separate from the rest – especially when in a party and everyone is drinking the same brand of drink.
When it’s not appropriate to wrap your arms around customers to tell them how much they’re appreciated, you can at least let your beverage can holders do the work for you. Personalized can coolers wrap up those loose ends and get your campaign rolling. Did you also know that can coolies have the potential to save relationships? They say that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but we respectfully disagree. A refreshing beverage and an accompanying koozie is all it takes to sway the fairer sex, especially if means there won’t be any more rings on the coffee table!
When looking for the right beer koozies, always look for a snug fit. Some of them are made for particular beers and they are sure to have a perfect fit. Also, look for sturdy zippers. It would never do to have a koozie whose zipper snaps off at the slightest pressure. Lastly, choose the beer koozie with an appealing design. If you’re going to use it often, you might as well choose something nice to look at.
