We all love our children, that much is true, but there comes a time in every parent’s life where you feel the crushing weight of parenthood, the agony of defeat, the desire to just lay there and never get up…in other words, the terror that is Disney World! All right, so this may be a bit of exaggeration, but for many parents out there who have taken their kids to Disney World, they know it’s true!

What is Disneyland Syndrome?
Disneyland syndrome happens immediately after your “vacation” at Disney World. You may feel like you need another vacation simply to recover from the one you just had. Some parents say it’s like an exhaustion that nags at their bones, or they feel as if a house fell on them. Let’s face it, as adults we no longer have the wellspring of energy that our children have so it’s not surprising that going all around Disney World could be an exhausting experience.

How to Avoid Disneyland Syndrome
1.) Get Plenty of Rest
Suffice it to say, getting plenty of rest is the key to making sure you can actually feel human again after your trip. Some strategies that have been recommended range from taking periodic breaks on park benches to going to Disney World with other parents so you can switch. One recommendation that most people neglect to take into consideration is to get a vacation home near Disney World. Let’s face it, having a nice place to get back to and relax can do wonders for your well-being, that and the fact that you can probably split the bill with another group of parents and cut down on vacation costs.
2.) Drink Plenty of Fluids
No, not alcohol (though some parents do recommend it), something along the lines of having enough water in your system so that you body can use it properly. One of the main causes behind feeling incredibly exhausted is because you have not taken in enough fluids. Your body basically begins to shut down all unnecessary functions to keep you alive. Recovering from this experience is the feeling of not wanting to move that you experience

All in all, whether you choose to get a vacation home near Disney World from sites like website or choose to go the drink plenty of fluids route, go for what you think is best and don’t forget to rest!
